Since joining American Healthcare as Director of Purchasing in 2007, it became evident that Brenda had taken this position to a more strategic level as she was soon promoted to the Leadership Team and more recently to Vice President of Purchasing. 

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Brenda has developed supply chain procurement skills working in manufacturing, distribution, direct marketing and health care industries. “I believe my previous work experiences were part of a master plan to bring me to American HealthCare.  Although I have enjoyed every position I have held, nothing compares to the satisfaction of using my skills to ultimately enhance the care of our residents”.

Associating with top professionals in our industry maintains the highest standards of product quality and service to the Heritage Hall facilities.  To that end, Brenda has developed strong relationships with our vendors, resulting in partnerships that include value-added services.

Brenda grew up in the Roanoke Valley and studied Business Management at Virginia Western Community College and Roanoke College.   She is married to her high school sweetheart, Joe.  Brenda and Joe are now empty-nested with two successful adult children, each with two children of their own.  Brenda enjoys free time spent with good friends and family, especially the grandchildren.  She loves travel, live theater and her two cocker spaniels, Jake and Mary.
